So far every film produced under the Life Films banner has gone on to win awards, both here in Perth as well as internationally.

Story Time: A film about dementia
A finalist at the 2024 WA Screen Culture Awards, "Story Time" is an intimate and inspiring short documentary that follows Dr Janet Thomas' courageous mission to break the stigma around dementia through the power of storytelling.
Driven by a sense of urgency around her own diagnosis, Janet dedicates herself to launching a creative writing program, aiming to empower others to find their voices and redefine their identities beyond their dementia.
Through her positive attitude and absolute refusal to be labelled, Janet’s story highlights the power of human connection, the enduring pursuit of purpose, and a call to see beyond the disease.

The Grey Line
Taken from her parents during a time when Aboriginal children were removed from their families through Government mandated policy, Helen was raised by a middle-class family in the suburbs of Perth and believed she was their biological daughter until the age of 14.
Despite being raised by a very loving foster family, Helen has never felt like she truly belonged. Not white, not black, she walks a very lonely grey line.
This is her story of hurt, a longing to find her true self and to finally be accepted for who she is.
The Grey Line won “Best Short Film” and “Best Editing” at the 2023 WA Screen Culture Awards.
Family Legacy Videos
A Life Film, or family legacy video, is a video biography filmed in a documentary style that captures the story of your life. SHIL: A film about a public speaker with a stutter
A multi-award winning Life Films production, Shil is the story of an accomplished public speaking expert who chose to face his biggest fear head on...his stutter.
The film takes a look at how his speech impediment has impacted his life and what it took to turn things around.
